What Is Custom Fitting? |
Custom fitting in the broadest sense is building a club designed to match your individual swing characteristics so that you hit the ball longer and straighter with better control. TaylorMade Performance Labs is able to provide golfers with "Golf's Ultimate Fitting Experience" utilizing the same revolutionary advancements in motion capture technology seen in such films as Lord of the Rings, Polar Express, King Kong, Batman, and The Tiger Woods Video Game.
Previously available only to PGA Tour professionals, the two-hour custom fitting experience is conducted in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and includes driver, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges, and putter. It is beneficial to men, women, and junior golfers of all ages and skill levels.

| |
How Does It Work? |
During the fitting process, reflective markers are placed on strategic points on your body as well as on the shaft and head of the fitting club. Nine separate high speed synchronized cameras capture the motion of the reflectors and instantaneously produce a three dimensional image of the subject. This 3-D image can be viewed in motion from any angle (from above, below, front, back, or either side) and is used to demonstrate what your swing is doing dynamically. The image can easily be manipulated to provide valuable feedback for you to better understand your swing characteristics. Additionally, data collected from our specialized launch monitor is integrated with the motion capture data. |

How Long Does It Take? |
The fitting process involves placing the special reflectors on your body in order capture a number of swings with the driver, iron and putter to gain a true representation of your swing dynamics and impact position. These swings are analyzed by a custom fit specialist and PGA qualified professional, which takes approximately 1 hour. Once this has been completed and understood, you will be escorted out on to our grass range to validate the club recommendations for the remainder of the two-hour session. |
| |
What Does It Cost & What Is Included? |
The cost
for the fitting session is $300. In addition, if you purchase
more than $1000 in merchandise, you will get a credit of 5% of
such purchase as a reduction of the fitting fee. This cost includes
all the above, plus a CD which shows all the captured swings
in 3-D for you to view on your computer, which you can share
with your family, friends and teacher. You will also receive
a print-out of the swing summary and recommendations. Any required
customization such as length, lie, loft, shaft and grip are included
in the price at no extra charge. Additionally, special arrangements
have been made with the TaylorMade factory to build your custom
fit clubs within 48 hours then shipped directly to you. There
is no obligation to purchase any equipment from us. However if
you choose to do so, our prices for your custom made clubs are
the lowest available from any authorized TaylorMade retailer,
including the discount stores and the internet. |

at their convenience. |
